Tenerife is a Spanish island near the african continent. It has a fantastic weather throughout the year. So I'm going to show you five enchanted beaches located in the south of the island.
1. PLAYA LA TEJITA
This beach is located in a village called Granadilla de Abona near the red mountain. It has more than one kilometer in length. A peaceful place to rest from the crowd. One of the inconvenients it is that the wind is so strong.

2. PLAYA DEL DUQUE
Playa del Duque has been created for all those who love tranquility, the sea breeze and the sun. A beach of tourist excellence that is located in an enclave of high standard and high quality. It is located in one of the newest area of Costa Adeje and next to the emblematic Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque.
Next to the promenade, and very close to the beach, you can find a wide variety of restaurants and exclusive shops.

3. PLAYA DE LA PINTA
It is a beautiful beach of golden sand ideal for family. It has a very calm wave, thanks to the installation of dams and its strategic location, next to one of the main port sports of the Island, Puerto Colón, in the municipality of Adeje.
One of the main attractions of the beach is its wide range of water sports. You can enjoy inflatable castles in the water, excursions in jet ski, diving and parascending, among other activities.
You will love the promenade that surrounds La Pinta, as it has a great atmosphere during the day and part of the night. You will find all kinds of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. In addition, the beach has all the services you need, public transport stops, telephone, showers, nearby parking, etc.
4. PLAYA DEL MÉDANO
El Médano is one of the most charming beaches in the south of Tenerife, whether you are passionate about water sports or want to enjoy a fantastic family day. The beach has the distinction of Blue Flag, which guarantees high quality services and optimal water conditions for bathing.
The beach of El Médano, located in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, stands out for the beauty of its fine gray sand and the majestic view of the volcanic cone Montaña Roja.
The area closest to the town is the most familiar and with less waves. As you go along the promenade you will find surf shops, restaurants and cafes, in a very cosmopolitan atmosphere.
The area furthest from the town is ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing. On this beach, world-renowned championships such as the Windsurf and Kitesurf World Championships are usually held.
5. PLAYA CHICA
If you are looking for a genuine place to breathe a real seafaring atmosphere, you have to visit Playa Chica in El Medano. This cove of calm waters and golden sand shares space with the small fishing pier of the town, which makes it a place full of life and colorful, with its boats and fishing gear.
Next to it there is a promenade that will make you lose yourself in the streets of this beautiful town, where you will find all kinds of services, such as restaurants, shops and cafes where you can have a drink and have a great day.
